Superb bass drums set from Senegal. These are integral to the "sound" of West African music, as they provide the melody and no ensemble is complete without at least one. The 3 drum set consists of the Djun djun, the largest, Sangba, the middle drum, and Kenkeni, the smallest.
The large Djun Djun measures 16 inches in diameter.
The medium Sangba measures 13 inches in diameter.
The large Kenkeni measures 11 inches in diameter.
This beautifully carved, drum set is made from Mansonia hard wood.
Each drum is carefully inspected, tuned (tuning instructions included) and packed with carrying bag.
Wood Single piece Mansonia tree mid section, for best balance of strength and weight, oiled and kiln dried to prevent cracks.
Anthrax The leather heads are animal skins, and many from Africa and Asia can transmit anthrax. While most producers and sellers ignore this risk, we have each of our drums tested before shipping to ensure they are anthrax free. Don’t endanger yourself and your family.
